In 2018 poet, writer and scientist Nachoem Wijnberg became the winner of the P.C.Hooftprijs, a prestigious Dutch literature prize given once a year, since 1947 to honour the oeuvre of a writer and stimulate it with a gift in the shape of money. His poems are often described as small essays, as tried-and-tested reasoning or ideas, preferably without beautification. The publication is a ’thankyou’booklet related to the prize.
