A children’s book about Hedy Tjin’s great-grandfather, Francisco de Freitas, who was probably the first to introduce shaved ice cream to Suriname. Zindzi Zevenbergen wrote the story, weaving together real historical facts with a bickering family that keeps interrupting the narrative because each member believes they know the true version.
